MESPO stands as an interface between the Undergraduate students of Materials Science and Engineering at Drexel University and its Faculty and Administrators. We are here to assure that student problems are efficiently and effectively communicated to the proper authorities and are given due consideration and respect. Also, we serve as a messenger for important information that would go otherwise unchecked, such as scholarship and fellowship information, available research positions, faculty visits, course scheduling, etc. Because MESPO is made up of peers, we hope that it will serve as a more efficient way to transfer information between the administration and the students.
MESPO stands for Materials Engineering Soceity of Professional Engineers. If you are a student of Materials Science and /Engineering you are a member of MESPO. This society provides the opportunity to apply for scholarships, network with /industry professionals, do research, find coops, and become part of the MSE community.
Some of the goals of MESPO include increasing student awareness of opportunities that exist both within the department and outside in industry, increasing awareness of the importance of professional engineering societies and serving as a knowledge base for assisting younger undergraduates with courses upper-classmen may have already taken. It is our general aim to make the college experience for Materials Science and Engineering undergraduate students at Drexel University as rewarding as possible.
